Employee Community Councils Lead a Year of Service

By on January 30th, 2026

Last year, Employee Community Councils (ECCs) were busy organizing 65 opportunities for volunteer service across Texas and Florida.

Each market has an ECC that plans quarterly or monthly opportunities for employes with a passion for giving back.  From food bank service days, wheelchair ramp builds to donation drives benefiting local non-profit organizations, there are a variety of ways to give back to the community.  Just as we do in our clinics, we focus our impact on the lives of older adults and caregivers.

In 2025, ECCs across the state of Texas helped celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Texas Ramp Project, a nonprofit organization that builds ramps for older adults in the community with mobility impairments.

In Florida markets such as Tampa assembled over 500 hurricane preparedness kits—filled with essentials like whistles, snacks and water purification tablets for local organizations. This effort supports vulnerable older adults during hurricane season.
