About Grant Process and Eligibility

The WellMed Charitable Foundation provides grant funding to non-profit agencies that serve older adults and/or family caregivers of older adults in the following areas:

Texas

  • San Antonio Area (Includes Bexar, Comal, Atascosa, Wilson, Guadalupe, Kendall Counties)
  • Lower Rio Grande Valley (Includes Cameron, Willacy, and Hidalgo Counties)
  • Corpus Christi (Nueces County)
  • El Paso
  • Dallas/Ft Worth Metroplex
  • Austin Area

Florida

  • South Florida (Miami)
  • Tampa Area
  • Treasure Coast
  • Orlando

We accept grant applications on an annual basis. The application period is posted on our website, and information will be sent out to agency representatives who have registered for our newsletter when the grant solicitation is open. Agencies may apply by completing the online application and submitting it to wellmedgives@wellmedgives.org. Average grant size for the WellMed Charitable Foundation ranges from $10,000 to $20,000. Grantees are required to provide a final report on the grant project and use of grant funds.

WCF Awards $407,872 in Grant Funding to 11 Markets

The Board of Directors and staff of the WellMed Charitable Foundation are pleased to announce $307,872 in funding for the WCF 2018 competitive grant process, and an additional $100,000 in hurricane recovery funding in select markets.

An additional $100,000 in hurricane recovery funds was awarded to five organizations in Texas and Florida to assist with ongoing hurricane recovery efforts. The organizations were:
