Understanding Dementia
Nestor H. Praderio, MD will present an overview of the key signs and symptoms of this syndrome. He will also detail the various forms and causes of dementia.
Caregivers are often faced with enormous challenges in providing physical, emotional, social, and financial support for a loved one with Dementia. Dr. Praderio will outline demographic information and impacts on Caregiving.
Dr. Praderio emphasizes the necessity of Collaborative Care in dementia. He encourages Caregivers to include other family members in the caregiving process. Please invite a family member or friend to the session.

Nestor H. Praderio, MD
Nestor H. Praderio, M.D. was born and raised in Argentina. He is a graduate of the University of La Plata School of Medicine and completed his residence in psychiatry at the Yale University affiliated program of Connecticut Valley Hospital in Middletown, Connecticut. His special interest is focused on Geriatric Psychiatry. He is a consultant of many nursing centers and assisted living units in South Texas.
He is also the founder and president of "Face to Face" which is a no-profit organization and Alzheimer's Support Group. All of his time dedicated to this organization is volunteered and it includes; monthly meetings in which he speaks to family, caregivers and clinicians, annual "Face to Face Festival" and a yearly Coastal Bend Walk for Memory.
