Please join Laurie McFarren, MEdL as she provides an overview of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. In addition to sharing helpful tips on how to best care for someone with ALS. She will also provide an overview of the work of the ALS Association.

Laurie McFarren works with the ALS Association, where she has been for over 6 years. She served the families of Maine who are living with ALS to help them navigate the health care system and provide them with resources, equipment and programs to support them. She now work within Care Services Education to support the ALS learning needs of families, health care providers and the community as a whole.
