Recently, the Doris Griffin Senior Activity Center members participated in an insightful discussion with students at the University of Texas at San Antonio.
The UTSA Center for Dialogue and Deliberation, led by Dr. Laurie Lewis and Dr. Sara DeTurk, hosted an interactive event at the Griffin center for students and older adults to talk about differences in experiences and perspectives from generation to generation.
Participants were divided into small groups and given instructions on how to effectively deliberate in their groups over topics on culture, technology, dating and more.
The members and students took this time to set the record straight about their generations’ stereotypes and find common ground.
