Modern Caregiving for Modern Millennials
Caregiver Teleconnection sessions are one hour learning sessions that can be done via Zoom or over the phone for caregivers of older persons. Experts from around the country share information important to caregiving. Caregivers will have the opportunity to ask questions as well as hear from other caregivers.
Our sessions are geared for the family members taking care of a loved one over the age of 60. Professionals are also welcome to participate as well.
The number of Millennial caregivers is growing, and the characteristics of these caregivers are unique which will be explored in this program. Sometimes, generational differences in perspective can make caregiving more challenging, which this program will discuss. Specific resources for this segment of caregivers will also be shared.

Dr. Elliot Montgomery Sklar and Samara Yesovitch, MS
Dr. Elliot Montgomery Sklar is a public health professional with vast experience in managing health programs and initiatives. With over a decade of practice in supporting the health of the public through academic work, research and service to communities across the Americas, Dr. Sklar shares his passion and expertise in support of diverse caregivers and the complex issues they face.
Samara began her clinical career running group workshops for elementary and high school students following a Master of Science degree in Behavioral Psychology from Florida International University. For almost a decade, Samara worked for a governmental social services organization supporting youth and families before she acquired her Masters of Applied Science in Couple and Family Therapy at Mcgill University. Later, Samara became the Local Wellness Advisor for the Desautels Faculty of Management at Mcgill University, where she works with students, staff, and faculty to enhance student wellness at the business school. In addition, she currently works in private practice in Montreal, Canada, and serves as a consultant to public and private organizations across North America.
