Dianne M. Teran. LMSW-IPR
Dianne M. Teran is a Licensed Master Social Worker.
She earned her Undergraduate and Graduate Degrees in Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio Texas which is also the city where she was born and raised.
She has worked in the Field of Aging for over 20 years beginning as a Facility Social Worker in long term care. She spent 17 years with the Alamo Area Council of Governments/Area Agencies on Aging. She held several positions with the Area Agency on Aging from direct case management to Caregiver Services Coordinator overseeing the agency’s National Family Caregiver Support and Health and Wellness Programs.
She has been with the Alzheimer’s Association for 6 years. She serves as Program Manager with the San Antonio & South Texas Chapter working with communities, families and those individuals living with Alzheimer’s and all other Dementia to provide education, support and resources.
She is a recipient of the 2018 Home Care Hero Award from the Alamo Area Home Care Council for her work in the field of Aging. She was also named the 2020-2021 Field Instructor of the Year by the University of Texas at San Antonio School of Social Work.
She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers.
