Veronica Maillard is the Family Caregiver Specialist based in McAllen, TX. Previously she was a contractor staff ombudsman for the LRGVDC with over 9 years of experience as an Ombudsman, advocating for and ensuring the rights of elderly individuals in various care settings. A compassionate professional with 25 years of direct caregiving experience, providing physical, emotional and mental support to elderly clients. Proven ability to navigate complex care situations and provide to families and caregivers. Veronica graduated from the “Centro de Estudios en Ciencias de la Comunicación” with a Bachelor’s Degree in advertising in Mexico City. She also has an Associate’s degree in Design and Technical graphics. Her background in Advertising and design has made her particularly sensitive to the needs and emotions of individuals. Her empathy and understanding likely allow her to connect deeply with those she interacts with her professional and personal life.
