Los hispanos representan el 21 por ciento de los casi 40 millones de cuidadores de familiares en los Estados Unidos quienes brindan cuidados sin recibir compensación económica a sus padres, cónyuges, parejas y otros seres queridos que son adultos mayores. Hablaremos sobre tendencias, desafíos y realidades de los cuidadores hispanos y cómo la cultura juega un papel importante en su camino como cuidadores.

Letty Guzman-Sanchez
Letty Guzman- Sanchez has a degree in Rehabilitation Services. She has a certification as a Qualified Dementia Care Provider by the Dementia Care Professionals of America. She has been part of the Caregiver SOS by WellMed since its creation in 2010. Letty is a master trainer for the Matter of Balance Class; for the Chronic Disease Self-Management program and cross trained in the Chronic Diabetes Self-Management program; and a Master Trainer for the Stress-Busting Programs for Family Caregivers of Alzheimers and Dementia and Chronic Illnesses (SBP). She has delivered all curriculums in English and in Spanish. In addition, she is a trained care consultant for Benjamin Rose Care Consultation Program and most recently a trainer for the Brain Savers Program .
