Caregiving and the Holidays
Most caregivers know a few caregiver tips for surviving and thriving during the holidays but they are often forgotten. This session is a good reminder. Tips include redefining and changing family traditions, what needs to be communicated about holiday celebrations and the care receiver, and planning for your care receiver’s health and well-being (doctor appointments and pharmacy refills). Lastly but perhaps the most important is to revisit what you know about managing stress to get the best out of your holidays. **Sponsored by the North Central Texas Caregiver Teleconnection**
