Most of us have heard about the stages of dementia and how they impact the one for whom you are caring. This presentation will focus on how caregivers of persons with dementia can learn to steer through the rocky road of dementia, armed with information and advice from other caregivers. You can be aware of what your future might hold and how to ease the journey. Join us!

Evalyn Greb, LCSW and Glenda Rogers
Evalyn Greb, LCSW, started two of California’s first Adult Day Health Care Centers( from 1973 to 1977). She organized and administered a hospital social work department, with a home health agency, an emergency room response program, and San Diego’s first in-patient hospice unit for three years. From 1980 to 2008, Ms. Greb worked for the County of San Diego and procured funding for and administered in-home, case management programs with 96 staff for elderly and disabled persons and their caregivers. Afterwards, she was the lead for the Long Term Care Integration Project (Medicare and Medicaid Integration). Since her retirement from the County, she has consulted with public programs, foundations, including the WellMed Charitable Foundation’s Caregiver Teleconnection for 12 years. Glenda Rogers has spent the majority of her career in the fields of aging, health, and social services. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Science from the University of Houston. She completed graduate work and was awarded her Specialist in Aging certification. She retired in the fall of 2011 from the position of Director of Aging Services at the Area Agency on Aging in Austin, Texas, a position that she held for seventeen years. Since retiring, Glenda has worked as a consultant for the WellMed Charitable Foundation, focusing on the Caregiver Teleconnection. Glenda would also like you to know that she was a long-distance caregiver for her parents and also was her husband’s caregiver prior to his death.
