Lucy Barylak, MSW, is a Social Gerontology Consultant with West-Central Montreal Health in Montreal, Canada. Lucy is a renowned expert in caregiving having won the Queen’s Jubilee Award twice, presented by the Canadian Homecare Association. She has also been a family caregiver for her mother for many years.
Joanne Besner; Graduated with a BSW and MBA from McGill University. She worked in a Community health and Social Service Centre, for 30 years as a front-line clinician, case manager, trainer, clinical supervisor and program manager in homecare services. She managed teams of multi disciplinary professionals in the Homecare program supporting seniors with loss of autonomy and caregivers. She managed the Caregiver Support Centre which included services, information, education, and research.
