The WellMed Charitable Foundation proudly presented a $25,000 donation to the Dietert Center in Kerrville, Texas, in recognition of their extraordinary efforts supporting older adults and the broader community during the recent flooding across the Texas Hill Country.
In addition to the financial contribution, employees came together to assemble 225 care kits—including 200 for volunteers and 25 for staff. These kits were filled with wellness items such as snacks, moisturizing face and foot masks, and personalized thank-you postcards, all designed to promote self-care and appreciation for those who have worked tirelessly in flood recovery and Meals on Wheels delivery.
During the kit assembly at the WellMed Corporate Campus in San Antonio, Dietert Center Executive Director Brenda Thompson shared remarks about the center’s mission and the impact of their volunteers, helping employees better understand the importance of community partnerships in times of crisis.
