Caregivers are a noble breed. They are selfless and devoted. They exude compassion, kindness and genuine love. They consistently put others before themselves to the point of exhaustion. In extreme cases Caregiving may even be detrimental to one’s own health and wellbeing. Learn how to validate your feelings as a Caregiver and listen to other Caregivers about their coping strategies to avoid Caregiver burnout.

Nestor H. Praderio
Nestor H. Praderio, M.D. was born and raised in Argentina. He is a graduate of the University of La Plata School of Medicine and completed his residence in psychiatry at the Yale University affiliated program of Connecticut Valley Hospital in Middletown, Connecticut. His special interest is focused on Geriatric Psychiatry. He is a consultant of many nursing centers and assisted living units in South Texas. He is also the founder and president of "Face to Face" which is a no-profit organization and Alzheimer's Support Group. All of his time dedicated to this organization is volunteered and it includes; monthly meetings in which he speaks to family, caregivers and clinicians, annual "Face to Face Festival" and a yearly Coastal Bend Walk for Memory.
