Barbara L. Harty, RN, GNP
Ms. Harty is Assistant Professor in the Center for Geriatrics/Institute of Healthy Aging at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth. She is a Gerontological Nurse Practitioner and has been a registered nurse for 35 years. She is a Clinical Research Coordinator and has been lead coordinator for studies involving aging, including Alzheimer’s, disease, osteoarthritis, epilepsy and diabetes. She has lectured on a variety of gerontological issues, including nursing assessment of the elderly, fall prevention, medication review and reconciliation, Dementia, sexuality in the elderly, and safety precautions for the elderly.
